Alter Sale Agreement

This is an agreement for the sale of a (color), (sex) Burmese kitten born on (date), (year) to (dam) and (sire), CFA registration number pending as an alter.

The conditions are set forth as follows:

• 1.Seller offers no guarantees with respect to future show achievements.
• · 2.This cat is NOT for breeding purposes.
• · 3.Buyer agrees to alter this cat by six months of age. (CFA registration papers will be withheld until proof of Spay/Neuter is provided by the Buyer.)
• · 4.Buyer accepts the responsibility of caring for this kitten and providing properly for its welfare, following seller's instructions on care, treatment, housing, and diet.
• · 5.Buyer agrees that this kitten will always receive prompt, quality medical care.
• · 6.Buyer agrees to never allow this kitten outdoors unattended.
• · 7.Buyer agrees that this kitten will never be sold, leased, or given to any research laboratory, pet shop, animal shelter, or similar facility.
• · 8.Buyer agrees that if any of the above terms are disregarded that Seller may reclaim this cat without a refund of purchase price. Buyer further agrees that if items 2, 3, or 7 are disregarded, that Buyer must pay an additional $1000.00 in damages to Seller and that the Seller may also reclaim this cat without refund.
• · 9.Buyer agrees that this contract is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and if this contract is litigated to pay all court and attorney's fees, and that any suit shall be tried in the state of North Carolina.
• · 10.Seller guarantees that the seller's cattery is FeLV negative, and that this kitten is currently free of disease. Buyer must have kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 5 working days of transfer to new owner. Any claims on current health must be made in the first week. After that, veterinary care is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Seller is not responsible for sickness/diseases occuring after that point. Guarantee covers replacement only.
• · 11.This kitten was inoculated with the following prior to delivery:
• · Heska trivalent (date, date) Worming w/ Strongid (date)
• · 12.Seller warrants that this kitten is genetically sound and will replace this kitten with another at no additional cost if this kitten dies before reaching five (5) years of age of a genetic defect and that the said defect is evidenced in an ecropsy report presented to the Seller. Buyer accepts all medical costs associated with kitten and such report. Genetic guarantee is void if kitten is inoculated with the FIP vaccination.
