Hi There and welcome to my face painting gallery! My name is Beth Woodard and I have been Face Painting since about 2007. I started off just to help out at some church events, but found this to be something I really enjoyed! I am available for parties and other events, please contact me for rates, availability, and any questions. I am happy to customize what I paint for your event as long as you give me enough notice. Airbrushing is wonderful in the summer. I use all hybrid makeup for faces, and it is sweat and rub resistant. Even on the hottest days your child will not end up being a smeary mess with airbrush face painting. However, the child does need to be old enough to hold still and deal with the airbrush on their faces. When I bring my airbrush along I can also offer airbrush tattoos, which, like glitter tattoos, last 3-5 days or longer. There is an extra charge for airbrushing, as the paint is considerably more expensive than traditional paint, and there is more setup and cleanup time with an airbrush.
As another option I also do glitter tatoos. These are really fun for all ages. They last about a week and are very showy. Glitter tatoos will not rub off or wash off, so they work particularly well for those summer parties where people may be sweaty and have problems with regular paint running and sweating off. They are even good for pool parties! I offer about 60 different glitter designs in 19 different colors of glitter. I can even create a custom glitter design for an extra fee and with the proper amount of notice. This could be anything from a company logo (-think cool Christmas party!- to a child’s name for a birthday party!
Henna tatoos can be another fun option. Henna has been used in India for thousands of years. The henna is applied to the skin and left there for 6-12 hours. When washed off it leaves a brown stain that lasts 1-2 weeks. Henna is traditionally done for the bride and her party before a wedding, but now-a-days henna is popular with teens and young adults. Henna is also popular applied to decorate pregnant bellies! Henna takes a little time to apply and the wearer must guard it for the next bit to be sure they do not rub it off or mess with it much.
Rates:
For areas in approximately a 30 minute radius around me, including the cities of Lumberton, Fairmont, Dillon, and Pembroke my rate for face painting is $75 for the first hour and $50 for additional hours.
For areas more than 30 minutes but less than 1 hour, including Fayetteville, Florence, and Laurinburg, my rate is $100 for the first hour and $50 for additional hours, with a 2 hour minimum booking.
I don’t like to go more than 1 hour, unless it is for events more than 2 hours long. I will be happy to discuss it with you though!
Additional services:
-At your request I can offer basic glitter tattoos for no extra charge. For unlimited glitter tattoos there is an extra $15 charge per hour.
-Airbrushing- Add $25 per hour to my regular rates.
-Bring along tent for shade/cover- Add $25 flat fee. (Not per hour) I expect the client to provide a shaded area to work in, I do not work in full sun. If you do not have a covered area available, I will provide my own for this fee.
-Henna takes longer than other things and you will want to talk with me personally to figure out how long you will need to plan. There is no additional charge for henna, but it will likely require a longer booking.
-Balloon twisting- I can twist 30 or so different balloons for children. There is no extra charge for balloons, but I need to know ahead of time to bring them, and you will need to book extra time to make sure there is enough time to add this service. I don’t do balloons as regularly as I paint, so I admit I need to work on speed in this area!
